the US invaded Iraq because they wanted to switch to Euros for oil. russia also sent ships to Venezuela. Do you think the first country the US will nuke is most likely China?
By: topgunner3210. on 06 Jan 09, 00:24:31
If Iran switches to Euros then they will have "WMD's" and thats cause for war. Russia gots war planes right now in Europe so maybe something stirring.
By: 7Hook. on 05 Jan 09, 23:59:38
But the iranian and russian currencies aren't competitors to the dollar. The euro is however. are you saying that the US might be thinking about bombing Europe?
By: topgunner3210. on 05 Jan 09, 19:54:31
Actually the dollar is tied to the bomb, whoever has the bomb has the "money". If another country(eg.Iran) gets hold of a bomb then it must be bombed, but you can't because Russia is right behind. So that is why the currency is going down.

I think it's a good thing to have at least SOME on hand. If you have say an ounce of gold, and the value of the dollar drops, your ounce is now worth more of the paper dollars and your buying power varies very little. If you have 800 paper dollars and 6 months from now it only buys what $500 would 6 months ago, you've just lost it to inflation. You could also exchange gold for other more valuable currencies than the dollar.
By: Billabyte. on 04 Jan 09, 17:39:06
but we can't return to a Gold standard, that would cause a depression!
By: thepie8u. on 03 Jan 09, 23:23:05
im not going to try to argue with you. is just easier to call you stupid. your fucking stupid
By: rsouthern. on 03 Jan 09, 08:34:43
I hate this shit! What your doing is not educating the public you just take the obvious points and sensationalize it. Then what you get is a bunch of angry & motivated people wanting to change one bad situation for another and you do that to them 7 more times and they loose all hope. Most people are sheep and that's just human nature remember you have only one great decision so make it count and that's you Sheppard!

msrebel54: RE: Your comment to "Gold VS Dollar" I understand we have to hold onto gold, so that it appreciates. But we DO have to cash it into dollars in order to purchase things. I don't think the grocery store will take gold coins, if they do, it's cuz they're monetized, meaning they would only give you a dollar for a dollar gold coin. Do you plan to gold onto the gold indefinitely? And why? Thank you in advance, Tina

blueballzstudio: You said that we don't have to buy gold by the ounce, that we could buy half ounce, etc. My question: when I go to "cash in" my appreciated 1/2 ouncers of gold, will my local coin shop give me the right price willingly. They won't refuse me will they? Thanks for your help, Tina
By: tinafiedler1. on 03 Jan 09, 02:30:12
rabbit2110: I agree with you. They will use this crisis to ram the North American Union down our throats and then Codex Alimentarius.
By: tinafiedler1. on 03 Jan 09, 02:28:11
MatrixMarc: I have a question, maybe you can help: If I start to buy gold and it goes up in value, can I just go to my local coin shop and redeeem it for dollars? Couldn't they just tell me "no", if too many people are starting to cash in their gone-up-in-price gold? Thanks for your consideration Tina

Brilliant and factual

someone actually tried arguing that fiat currency is good? at least he had the sense to back out really fast.
By: MatrixMarc. on 31 Dec 08, 23:34:48
goodnight vrnjak, stop writing me and don't expect to get comments when you post propaganda. Why don't you pray to your god Ron Paul, he'll save you. Peace
By: vrnjak. on 31 Dec 08, 06:35:59
Your point of concentration of gold in the hands of the few was set in motion, in my opinion, by the Fed Reserve Act, the influential trust/cartel imaginable. Isn't that actually more likely to occur with a banking trust which literally answers to no one?
By: vrnjak. on 31 Dec 08, 06:35:26
You must also believe that the founding fathers were "monkeys", as you eloquently stated earlier, for tying the value of the dollar to precious metals in the constitution? Is your freedom of speech also negotiable? Not to me it isn't, and I defend your right to belittle me anonymously via an internet message board.
By: vrnjak. on 31 Dec 08, 06:27:28
You are the 1st person I've come in contact with that says fiat money is safe. Do you understand what fiat means? That means by authoritative or arbitrary decree. What conscious social contract are you suggesting exists with such an arrangement? Better yet, why do we need one? If you understood what fiat means, then can anyone assume that you actually believe in free market valuation?
By: vrnjak. on 31 Dec 08, 06:26:58
There's no need to get worked up. I simply asked for statistics to back your position, and, as I accurately surmised, I received lots of emotion and zero in the way of data or statistics.
By: MatrixMarc. on 31 Dec 08, 04:50:48
Wow, intelligence is mind numbing, why don't you go back to your book club or blog and talk about how smart you are to people who give a fuck. "my dollar is worthless, my dollar is worthless, whaaaa whaaa whaaa!" Your videos begs the question; "Then why aren't we on a gold standard?"
By: MatrixMarc. on 31 Dec 08, 04:50:40
Gold is a commodity and having a fiat currency and gold as a commodity is much safer and gives more opportunity for cash flow instead of concentration by default in the hands of a few, but with people like you around spouting off this shit you'll make sure it happens one way or another. I guess your not sophisticated enough to respect a conscious social contract like paper money, "oh no, monkey need shiny money, monkey want shiny!"
By: vrnjak. on 31 Dec 08, 04:26:28
Do you have stats to support your assertion that US dollar devaluation is "total bullshit"? If not, then your comment is more worthless than the dollar described in the video.
By: MatrixMarc. on 31 Dec 08, 03:02:09
total bullshit, just libertarian scare tactics
